Where It All Began
RLM Windows began with a clear vision — to provide homeowners with quality glazing products delivered with honesty, craftsmanship, and genuine care. Long before expanding into a full-service double glazing company, our roots were humble. We started as a small, family-run operation with a focus on helping local people improve their homes with products that were built to last.
What drove us wasn’t big corporate ambition or flashy marketing — it was the satisfaction of seeing a customer delighted with their new windows or doors, and knowing we’d helped make their home warmer, safer, and more beautiful.
The Passion Behind It
The business was first just an idea, A dream. Ricky set out the start the business with a determination to “do things the right way” and this is where it all began.
Before the company was formed, he saw too many homeowners being let down — rushed jobs, poor communication, or workmanship that didn’t match the promises. Ricky believed there was a better way.
- So he set out to build a business that put integrity first.
- No shortcuts.
- No pressure selling.
- Just honest advice, quality products, and craftsmanship he could stand behind.
And that passion hasn’t faded. Even today, Ricky remains hands-on, ensuring every project reflects the standards he built the business upon.
His son, Elliott, has grown up around the family’s work ethic and pride, and it’s become a part of him too. Although he’s still young, he’s made it clear that one day he hopes to take over the business and carry on what his dad started. Knowing that RLM Windows may become a true multi-generation family business is something that fills Ricky with pride.
The Apple Doesn’t Fall Far From The Tree
They say that the apple doesn’t fall far from the tree. The below photo proves that all to well. The photo on the Left is Ricky aged about 6 playing with an old wooden window frame that his dad had around in the back yard. From what we have been told, Ricky played with this window for weeks with his tool kit and never got bored. Making many “Dens” with this old window. The photo on the right shows Elliott age around 4 following in his dads foot steps. This photo is in our warehouse where Elliott has spent many weekends watching Dad at work and helping out at every step of the way.
